Shania Twain releases new single 'Today Is Your Day'

Today Shania Twain shocked the music world by releasing her first single in over 6 years. The single, called 'Today (Is Your Day)' was revealed a few hours ago. A piano pop 'ditty', the song is a nice little welcome back from Ms. Twain, but wether or not this will be first single material or will quickly shift into the 'buzz' single category is yet to be seen. Otherwise? I like it. Its very Sara Bareilles Unplugged. I highly doubt this song is gonna be scalping any lessors in the foreseeable future, but still, its not a bad comeback single and a nice song overall.

The Two-Hit Wonder of The World !

Maroon 5 is in the charts !!!

Their song 'Never Gonna Leave This Bed' is sitting at number 70 in the billboard charts ! Its just unfortunate that i have never heard this song or was even aware of its release, but i'm sure everyone else is aware of it .... right ? .......... Anyone ?

Just as i thought. This new song is Maroon 5's attempt at becoming relevant again and i must admit its went about as well as can be imagined. Read 'as well as be imagined' as SHITE !

They are not total flops, i mean, who could forget songs as great as 'This Love' and 'She Will Be Loved' (which still remains in my all-time top 3 love songs ever). Such great works prevent them from being as floptastic as the one known as Ke$ha ! Their success lies in the past and it would be foolish for them to try and regain what they once had. HOWEVER, the BeeGees did it in the 70's so why can't Maroon 5 ?

I say go for it !!! And i wish you the best of luck lads ! But don't come crying to the rest of us if today's music doesn't want to play.

Moral of the Story - Give up when the going's good, unless you have some Stan-winning, orgasmic, shit-hot music up your sleeve.

Queen is back, hold onto your crowns bitches !!!

Epic fangasm here, Queen - Greatest Hits is currently sitting at #25 on the Album charts :D 'Only at number 25' i hear you say, well, heres a few statistics about this album.

-It has spent over 450 weeks in the UK album charts since its release (collectively).

-It has sold more than 25 million copies and has certified EIGHT times platinum.

- It is the best selling UK album of all time.

Now, lets consider that for a second. 450 weeks. 25 million copies. Eight times platinum.

Its likely that no other album in the world will reach this level of success. Britney, Gaga and Beyonce can try all they like to beat this level of fucking joy but their chances of passing Queen in the sales stakes are about as likely as Brandy passing a basic driving test.

P.S. - You'll also notice that no-one ever throws Queen any shade.

P.P.S - Poor Brandy will be a common victim of my rants.

We are Experiencing some Technical Issues, Please stand by...

Hey hoes, just a few pieces of information that may come in useful when it comes to how this blog is gonna be carried out...
WereNotHereForThat is mainly a music review blog but a hella lot more fergalicous, shadier and lots more wigs will be snatched her  than on the usual music blog. Occasionally we will review Movies, TV Shows and other things, but the primary focus of this blog is Music and throwing shade at people more successful than we could ever hope to be.

I (Busty St.Clair) am the Admin of WereNotHereForThat and will take an active part in each section of this blog. I, however, mainly look over and run the [POP] section, the "Gif Of the Week" section, "Video of the Week" section and "The Flop Chart" (that will be in collabouration with the other moderators, but co-ordinated/posted by myself). Besides that, ill be making sure this blog is run tighter than a Pre-Coke Linday Lohan.

Besides myself, there will be 2 Moderators that will be added somepoint during the week. SPANKY will be the moderator of the [ROCK] section where he will post his thoughts/reviews/opinions on the current rock scene without sounding as pretencious as the other rock review blogs/magazines do so effortlessly. The Other Moderator, Jordy, will be the moderator of the [LEGENDS] section where she will do the same but with older songs, 'classics' or whatever song she sees fit without making the [LEGENDS] section sound like a playlist for a sad old, baron widows funeral.

Thats really it for now, a schedule of what/when we will be uploading things will be posted within the next few days once the mods have been finalised and the rules/guidelines have been made clear to them. Thanks for checking out the blog and all im gonna say is this...
