Unreleased Songs: A Virtual Goldmine?

For the last couple of days, Ive been wondering just what i should write about on WNHFT that could be considered an 'original article' and not a 'news report'. For days i sat around like a flop ass hoe trying to think what i could talk about when it suddenly hit me like a ton of Bricks, the relatively controversial topic of unreleased/leaked songs by everyone's favourite artists, flops and basic bitches!

It didn't take long to narrow the list down into a small little selection of some of the best unreleased songs available due to various different means (hackers, promo discs, old & scarce EPs etc.). For this article, imma discuss 5 songs by 5 different artists - some of whom i love, others... ehh... - to try and showcase what a wonderful place the Internet can be (when not being came onto by dirty old men, having your personal details stolen or being dragged to the depths of hell by an angry, PMS'y stan). Here we go now y'all. Enjoy!

Lady GaGa - Wonderful

GaGa's first 'single' while called Lady GaGa, this piano ballad is one of GaGas better songs, and i sill am not quite sure why it never made the cut. While not an official single, the song charted high on a few radio airplay charts and remains a firm fan favourite. An excellent example that somewhere along the line, a great song will remain on the cutting room floor for other, less FUCKING AMAZING songs...

Katy Perry - Part of Me

A leftover from 'Teenage Dream', the song has the same basic tune/melody as that from the actual album but never made the cut as to avoid making songs on the album 'sound the same' (well done Katy *rolls eyes*). This track is easily at least 10 times better than half of the crap on the final version of 'Teenage Dream' and rumor has it that it will feature on the upcoming re-release of said Album. Fingers crossed...

Ke$ha - Bootycall

Presumably written as part of the 'Animal' sessions somewhere between 2008-2010, this is one of the few Ke$ha songs i can still listen to without wanting to ram a pair of scissors into my ears with the fury of Xtina looking at her first week sales. A simple, basic ass pop ditty, but still a fun party song with some pretty hilarious lyric. Chances are this will NOT be features on any upcoming release, but still, its a good wee listen...

LIGHTS - Perfect

Written for some flop ass television show as opposed to her debut album 'The Listening', "Perfect" is a piano pop song about how the hoe ain't perfect, but hey, no one is. While her debut album is pretty flawless as it is, i honestly can't say i want it on a re-release or some shit, and chances are it wont be on her highly anticipated second album, but still, it remains one of my favourite LIGHTS songs to this day. A fab wee hidden gem...

Mini Viva - I'm Hooked

Ahh Mini Viva... how i miss thee. After being dropped when their third single "One Touch" flopped harder than the new Ciara CD singing the hits of Xtina and Keri Hilson, Mini Vivas album was indefinetly postponed and the songs recorded remain locked up in Xenomia's little vault waiting for another artist to come butcher them. "I'm Hooked" is one of the better tracks that was leaked via the means of a promo disc and perfectly sums up just why Mini Viva being dropped was a pop travesty.

And there we have it folks, a small yet definitive list of the of the best unreleased tracks on the net. I ain't supplying download links because that would get this blog taken down quicker than i would driving in front of Brandy down the freeway, but none the less. Marry the Night - 9/10
Strong Opening to a pretty flawless album. Instantly catches your attention. Its very reminiscent of a in-her-peak 80's Whitney Huston. The track features an interesting, almost childlike melody followed by a strong, commanding chorus supported by Fernando Garibay's finest instrumental yet. The 'turn the car on and ruuuuuuuuuun' is also one of the highlights on the album due to its infection delivery. One of my favourite songs off of the album, though I'm unsure how it would bode as a single as it contains many elements similar to that of 'The Edge of Glory'. Also, last minute is way to long and repetitive for my liking, very broken record-esk.

Born This Way - 9/10
 Madonna comparisons aside, this is a very strong track. The verses are catchy and well structured even if the lyrics are very touch-and-go. The actual Chorus itself has also been revamped since the VMA's 2010 but it is still one of the strongest chorus's on the album. The Lyrics of the bridge are heavy handed, but get the point across well and show its NOT just a song for Gay Right. We were ALL born this way, even if it is a little Schick-y. Also, the song uses the word 'Chola', which is always nice...

Government Hooker - 10/10
This has been my Pu$$y Poppin' song ever since the album was released. Formed around a series of psychedelic blips, beeps and (sometimes demonic, sometimes cute) chants, the song focuses on what the title suggests: Getting fucked by the government in the hopes that when they are done they will give us what we deserve, money. The sinister sound, Lyrics about JFK and clear references to Marilyn Monroe make for one controversy ridden future single. The 'HoooooooKAH!' chorus is also one of GaGas better ones, the simplicity and backing vocals from her body guard all add up to make another, very 'GaGa' track.

Judas - 7/10
To quote Katy Perry, when it comes to Judas we share a sort of Love-Bipolar. One minute, its the best thing since Mariah Carey scalped J-Lo. Next minute? Its the worst thing since Eminem got off the drugs. Overall though, it IS a strong single and one of the more obvious choices on the album for the single treatment. The demonic screeches during the verse are the obvious highlights here. The song itself may be a complete re-hash of 'Bad Romance' with a pissed off demeanor, but still. Not a bad song at all... just not fantastic on the levels of its sister track.

Americano - 7/10
Upon first listen to this track, one would be forgiven for thinking it was a joke track ,with all the wails, somewhat childlike 'la la la la la la laaa's and lyrics in Mexican, but upon future listens it becomes clear its one of GaGas more poignant tracks about the problems in Phoenix Arizona, even if displayed in quite a camp and somewhat flamboyant visage. Another candidate for 'future single' anyone? Best be calling Honey Bey...

Hair - 9/10
The second campest song on the record (behind FoHL) 'Hair' is one thing and one thing only: GAGA. Following a very standard 80's intro before bursting into a trademark GaGa robotic chorus, 'Hair' is another track that screams future single, if not for the fantastic possibilities that could come out of a video for it. Some 'cute' lyrics and the addition of the saxophone on the backing track equal a song that sounds familiar to hits of the 80's but remain typically GaGa throughout. This can only be a good thing after the infamous 'complications' in recent months.

Scheiße - 11/10
This is it. THE massive hit sitting on 'Born This Way', waiting to jump right out of this album and onto radios, computers and televisions everywhere. Red-One and GaGa's greatest collaboration since 'Bad Romance', 'Scheiße' features the biggest "pop" chorus on BTW and speech like verses that give off a very 1950s vibe. Never has a song about female equality been wrapped up in such an interesting ribbon. The 'Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh' section after the chorus and the chant like 'gibberish' section make for one of the best songs of the album, if not GaGas career.

Bloody Mary - 11/10
Another massive sounding song on the album, but this one should NOT be a single. Another religious song - this time in the form of a haunting pop ballad - the song discusses GaGa's views on Mary Magdalene and how she feels she coped during the fall of Christ. The hymn like chorus and demonic reverb on the verses create an almost haunted, spiritual sounding song, all carried by GaGas ability and control over her voice and the almost tragic tone to the entire song. Another hidden treasure to add to GaGa ever growing catalogue.

Black Jesus † Amen Fashion - 8/10
The most 'Madonna' sounding track on BTW, the song is easily going to become a trademark 'runway' anthem in the coming years. The strong, shout like verses and the chanting, auto tuned chorus may seem very Madonna on first listen (and may be right) but easily becomes its own piece of work out of the reigning Queen of Pops ever foreboding shadow. Best Part? THAT bridge. "BLACK JESUS, BLACK JESUS, BLACK JESUS. Jesus is the new Black. OWWW!" ohh Scheiße... this shit is hot.

Bad Kids - 6/10
One of the tracks I'm neither here nor there about. In my opinion this is one of the few tracks GaGa makes that is simply catchy and nothing more, but when she hypes her material up as much as she does, is this enough? In the case of Bad Kids, no.

Fashion of his Love - 8/10
The pop ballad written and dedicated to Alexander McQueen (GaGa's close friend) this song features some of the cheesiest lyrics GaGa has ever written, yet it never seems crass or forced and seem to flow naturally. A fitting tribute to a revolutionary designer which I'm sure he would be proud of. Look out for the sample of GaGa's old, unreleased track 'Earthquake' just before the second chorus!

Highway Unicorn (Road to Love) - 8/10
This is the point in the album where the melodic theme shifts from a more Whitney-80's esk sound to a more Springsteen sound. With a more 'epic' sound to it that most of the previous tracks, Highway Unicorn is another cheesy, gay anthem in the making, but as GaGa has proven in the past, this is where she shines. With its loud, proclamation like chorus and slow, shouting verse GaGa successfully makes the only song called 'Highway Unicorn' that can be listened to without cracking a grin/throwing shade at its title.

Heavy Metal Lover - 11/10
Perfection. That is the ONLY way to describe this filthy, electro pop ditty with the sleaziest lyrics imaginable. The ultimate 'filthy sex' song. EVER! With low registered, robotic verses purred into your earphones and a mystical, 'ohhhh' chorus section GaGa creates the most original sounding song on the record that is honestly hard to describe without making it sound shit. Another song that shouldn't be a single, THIS is classic GaGa, and easily the most surprising success on the album. It obviously wont be for everyone, but for me? Possibly my favourite track on the album...

Electric Chapel - 8/10
A slow burning up-tempo that focuses more on the almost holy sound to it than a trademark GaGa track, 'Electric Chapel' is a song that given her background and image shouldn't work. Thankfully, it does. The 'Follllooowww Me!' & 'doo do do, dooo do dooo do' hook save the song from becoming boring, and the chorus? Well, that can only be described as 'trippy', with GaGas slow, hymn like vocals and the sound of bells making for a strangely interesting/hypnotic track. One Problem though. That guitar rift at the start of the song sounds oddly familiar...

The Queen - 7/10
This track is interesting, as it has quickly became a fan favourite among the 'Little Monsters'. Discussing GaGas need to be the queen she feels she can, neigh deserves to be, the track starts off as an uptempo ballad-esk ditty with sickeningly sweet vocals before slowing down and becoming an almost acoustic rock track. A good song overall, but one thing seems to ruin it... That annoying 'Qu-Qu-Queen Qu-Qu-Queen' hook. Usually GaGas pattern of repetitive hooks work exceptional well, but on the Queen? It just seems forced... even if i am just a little fond of it.

Yoü And I - 10/10
Its NOT overproduced, its NOT god bad lyrics and its NOT a bad song. There, i said it. Hew Gon Check Meh Boo? Seriously though, 'Yoü And I' is GaGa second best ballad to me (after the perfect 'Wonderful')and i still enjoy it immensely a year after first hearing it. The 'We Will Rock You' sample also works nicely here when it would have sounded phenomenally shite anywhere else. A fitting up-tempo love song to a very, very, very special little romance GaGa so desperately trys to deny. well, the album IS for ü... #shade

The Edge of Glory - 11/10
I ain't writing about it again, just read the last article. http://werenothereforthat.blogspot.com/2011/06/song-of-week-pop-lady-gaga-edge-of.html . To summarise, its orgasmic. PRETTY DAMN AMAZING! *gives thumbs up to the camera*N

Overall, 'Born This Way' has its ups and downs (95% ups, 5% downs) and still manages to retain its charm, likability, catchy-ness and overall class that GaGa always brings so effortlessly to the table with such pizazz and fashion that none of her peers could ever hope to achieve. Its 80's, its crazy, its cohesive and its GaGa. To some, it may not be the best album of the Decade, but the greatest pop album of the year AND the greatest pop album since Britney's flawless 'Blackout'? I think so.....

Ke$ha discuss's Lady GaGa & Britney (ugh...)

This post is a doosey, so all Kat$hit stans should vacate the building if possible. Recently, Ke$ha took it upon herself to discuss the 2 H.B.I.C's of POP during two separate interviews, discussing Britney to The Daily Star and GaGa to Rolling Stone. Shall we discuss Britney first?

Speaking to the Daily Star, Ke$ha said it would be a dream come true to work with Miss. Spears, even though just over a year ago she threw some pretty serious shade at the megastar in her song 'Styrofoam'. Here's what Ke$ha had to say:

"I really hope we can make it work. I know people who saw some early previews of Britney's show and said it was amazing - so I can't wait to go myself."  Ke$ha also recently claimed that she is "proud" of writing the track for Spears, stating that "it solidifies [her] as a songwriter in the pop world".

Now for the GaGa shade... here for go gawrls. During a recent interview with the 'Sleazy' singer, Rolling Stone magazine said that her recent flop EP proves that "you would kick Lady Gaga’s ass in a freestyle battle.” (sigh) Do you think that's true and how do you feel about being compared to other female artists?

"Y’know, I get it all the time. I get compared to everyone and their brother. I’m really not trying to be anyone else. I’m rapping when I wanna rap, I’m singing when I wanna sing, I’m screaming when I wanna scream. Compare me to whoever you want and comparing me to a successful, strong woman like Lady Gaga is a huge compliment but I do think I’m very different to anybody out right now. Everyone has their talent but I think what I bring is very different."

1) After the looks shes thrown GaGa at award shows and all the shade she threw at Britney before collaborating with her, i can't help but feel this statement is beyond crass and fake...

3) All your tracks sound like 2006 Britney Rejects... your hardly bringing anything 'fresh' and 'new' to an already pretty generic table bitch.

Well guys, its time for another rant from your host, Busty St.Clair... this time, I'm gonna be ranting about the current state of the charts in the UK and why i feel like gouging my eyes out and listening to a live Little Boots CD every time i go onto iTunes or look at the midweeks.

First of all, let me begin by saying a lot of this isn't about UK acts or music produced over here, but more about this mindless twats who actually buy the music and get each act to number 1 depending on what they pick and choose.

This morning i woke up to find that Jason DeRulo with one of the most annoying, painfully bad tracks i have EVER hear in my entire life is STILL on top of the UK iTunes charts while other more talented acts like Sophie Ellis-Bextor and the like languish at peak positions of #25 (single) and #33 (album) while shite acts like Tinie Tempah and N-Dubz ride high every single weak with a painfully shite track while artists that actually put out REAL music fade away upon release and are never heard of again...
I'm gonna now list a few things that I think are ruining the UK music scene as we know it...

1) ADELE
Right, let me get something straight. I think Adele is one of the most talented vocalists of our generation and her voice and talent should NOT be overlooked. But seriously? I'm fucking sick of hearing about her. Ever since the BRIT awards in early 2011 it seems like we will NEVER be rid of Adele nor her fucking chair she never seems to be out of. JUST BECAUSE HER MUSIC DOESN'T FEATURE A TECHNO BEAT DOESNT MAKE YOU ANY MORE DEEP THAN YOU ALREADY ARE! FACE THE FACTS HOE! YOUR STILL AS DEEP AS A FUCKING PADDLING POOL! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!

2) Under performing Superstars
In 2011, both Lady GaGa & Britney Spears (the biggest pop bitches in the game) released new music only to see it underperfom. (GaGa peaked at #3 with BTW, but the album sold more than estimated. Britney peaked at #6 and her album #9). im not campaining for better chart positions from these two, but when acts like LMFAO are number one for 3 weeks instead of Gaga ad BritBrit (who both released endlessly better material) it makes me wonder if everyone in the UK is more inept than the man who gave Brandy a drivers licence or gave Keri Hilson a recording contract. Don't even get me fucking started on Beyonces new material, that although better than ever is flopping harder than Xtina Aguilera singing the hits of the third Reich...

3) The Rise of Jessie J
Ive got nothing to say about you except...

Those are just 3 of the reasons that i feel are ruining the UK music scene? Like seriously? I'm fucking sick of ignorant chavs running this bitch. That's it. I'm seriously fucking done. If you don't like it then i suggest that you seriously go fuck yourself and learn to just...

Random Chick 'goes in' on fanbases (Monsters, Angels, Navy etc.)

This random chick (or the banned user MonsterBread if you have a GaGaDaily account) took it upon herself to spill the truest tea i have ever heard  in my entire life. No fucking joke.
For some unknown reason MonsterBread decided to go in on all fanbases and their seemingly mindless devotion towards their 'faves'.
Highlights include her covering the nickname 'Mother Monster', namechecking HausOfJay, discussing the fact that mindless devotion is a big no-no on the interwebz and claiming that Lil Kim actually has fans. Priceless.

What do y'all think? As a giant 'monster' myself, i whole heartidly agree tbqfh... I will NEVER call GaGa mother monster as i personally find it creepy. Its alright when she says it, but when some bitch on twitter says it moments after tweeting about her REAL mother? umm... no thanks... thats not to say i love Gags any less than any other devoted monster, but their ARE limits gawrls...

Weird Al Yankovic releases GaGa parody 'Perform This Way'

After the controversy surrounding the singles release a couple of weeks ago*, Weird Al Yankovic has just released his video for his Lady GaGa parody, 'Perform This Way', and it goes without saying that is is absolutly fucking hilarious.

As a massive GaGa stan, i have got to admit, this is soooooo funny and one of the better parodies i have seen (although NOT better than Sherry Vines GaGa parodies). Usually most parodies are clich'ed and full of shit that isnt even remotly funny (i have a dick, my music is shit, im a theif etc...) but Weird Al has successfully managed to create a funny parody that wasnt all that insulting to Gags while managing to rip the piss out of her in a way we all do, just here done with a little more class than your usual run of the mill parody (heres looking at you Smosh).

*The controversy was that Al took to his blog to say GaGa had said NO to releasing the single after he went through a rigerous process to finish the song and play it  to her. Well, after the news his GaGas manager came out and said he didnt want it released as at the time 'Born This Way' was still riding high in the charts, seems GaGa hadnt even heard the single yet. Yep... thats it. Boring ehh?

Song of the Week [POP]: Jennifer Lopez - Hypnotico (Silly Heartbreakers)

If you follow my personal twitter, you will know that i have been Stanning/Pu$$y Poppin' to this Lil number for a couple of weeks now and when a reason presented itself to make this the song of the week, needless to say i couldn't resist.

After the previous singles "On The Floor" and the Lil Wayne assisted "I'm Into You" J-Lo has taken it upon herself to release one of the few remaining 'good' tracks on her latest studio album "LOVE?", this track being the club-ready GaGa Penned belter called "Hypnotico" and without a doubt one of the albums few highlights (its very... dry in that sense). Originally written and produced for a as of now dropped artist called Tami Chynn (youtube her, she has some decent songs) the song "Hypnotico" has now found its way into the hands of Miss. Lopez and it goes without saying that when it comes to a third single, theres no better option than the ever fantastic 'Hypnotico' (even if it should have been the second single over the 'Whats My Name' esk "I'm Into You")

The track itself is nothing out of the ordinary and some might even say its as generic as they come. While this may be true, there is no denying this is a better effort than her previous single "I'm Into You" and one of her better singles in recent years (although not better than "On The Floor"). Following a dirty sounding bass line and a very rhythmic-like verse structure, the song is helped by J-Los sweet (but not particularly strong) vocals that add a sense of mystery to the song that eventually leads up to the chorus where J-Lo 'belts'(?) out the RedOne Re-Done chorus that contains more charm and a better 'listenable' quality than a lot of RedOnes post-GaGa offerings. The chorus itself is catchy but as is the case with most J-Lo songs the production is the shining point on this song and the majority of the praise should be going towards the songs producer RedOne rather than Miss.Lopez, even if she does her best to successfully lift the song out of 'generic' territory. The GaGa written RedOne ditty is as catchy and carefree as any song written/produced by the pair can be, with the verse and chorus proving as equally hypnotic (insert laugh here) as can be. But the undisputed highlight is the easiest, most basic, instantly catchy hook that immediately draws the listener in and guarantees this WILL be one of THE songs of the summer: The 'Hypnotic-Notic-O Hypnotic-Notic-O' hook that runs throughout the entire song. By no means a 'iconic' pop hook or song, but nonetheless. A Pu$$y Poppin' anthem and surefire summer hit, no matter how forgettable the song may be.

Best Bit: It goes without saying that the 'Hypnotic-Notic-O' hook is the best part of the song.

Shit Bit: The Hook is only repeated twice at the end of the chorus/song, when it should be 4 times.

RATING: 4 out of 5

Lady GaGa & Joseph Kahn fall out on 'TEoG' video set?

Yes gorls you read correctly. Apparently when filming the music video for her latest single 'The Edge of Glory' Lady GaGa and the director Joseph Kahn (LoveGame, Toxic etc.) had a falling out, or a disagreement on set which lead to the director leaving the set and handing creative control of the video over to GaGa herself.

Not much is known about this argument as the only source we have right now is the ever classy, ever reliable Laurieann Gibson (Tragicann Gibson if you will) who tweeted a few weeks ago that Kahn was the director. After Kahn reveled he would infact NOT be directing the video, Miss. Laurieann took it upon herslef to try and dig herself out of of the metaphorical pit she was in by responding to a few fan queries, deciding to tweet a GaGa stan and call him a 'disrespectful fuck' (classy or what?) and saying that Gags and Kahn 'had a disagreement on set' after the GaGa stan accused her of lying about the real director of the highly anticipated video.

As said above, not much is known about the situation right now, we will keep you updated as we find out more about the 'disagreement' -  which we are sure we will giving Gibons track record - in the coming hours. Fingers crossed that Tragicanne strikes again!

Natalia Kills vs Lady GaGa (again?)

According to the rumblings of stans on twitter, Natalia Kills threw some pretty serious shade at Lady GaGa and a few other popstars in a new interview which is going to be released in the next few days. Details about what exactly Natalia decided to say this time havnt came out yet, but according to various sources the question about GaGas popularity at the moment was brought up and Natalia responded with another shadey little jab about 'how quickly someones popularity can fade'...

Ohh Natalia, Natalia, Natalia..... lets clear some things up bew...
1) GaGa stays getting them #1's and selling 2 million albums in its first week of release. You struggle to sell 5000
2) Your entire act is a hybride between GaGas early 'Monster' look and Rihanna's entire 'Rated R' look. Your really NOT in the position to be throwing shade at the people who clearly inspired your act.
3) When you even come close to GaGa in terms of Talent, THEN you can talk shit. When i saw you live bew you mimmed your entire set and danced like Keri Hilson with extreme arthritis in her knees.

Queen is back, hold onto your crowns bitches !!!

Epic fangasm here, Queen - Greatest Hits is currently sitting at #25 on the Album charts :D 'Only at number 25' i hear you say, well, heres a few statistics about this album.

-It has spent over 450 weeks in the UK album charts since its release (collectively).

-It has sold more than 25 million copies and has certified EIGHT times platinum.

- It is the best selling UK album of all time.

Now, lets consider that for a second. 450 weeks. 25 million copies. Eight times platinum.

Its likely that no other album in the world will reach this level of success. Britney, Gaga and Beyonce can try all they like to beat this level of fucking joy but their chances of passing Queen in the sales stakes are about as likely as Brandy passing a basic driving test.

P.S. - You'll also notice that no-one ever throws Queen any shade.

P.P.S - Poor Brandy will be a common victim of my rants.

Song of the Week [POP]: Lady GaGa - The Edge of Glory

The first (pop) song of the week on WereNotHereForThat is Lady GaGa's latest single, "The Edge of Glory". After the somewhat disappointing second single, "Judas" proved that GaGa-By-Numbers isnt always the safest method to get a hit when the single underperformed on both Radio & iTunes. By GaGa-Standards, "Judas" became the first Lady of Pops second 'Flop' single (After Eh,Eh). At this point, things seemed bleak. With less than a month until the album's release and no follow-up hit to 'Born This Way' (single) in her hands, would GaGa be able to save this album campain before it even had a chance to begin?
Enter "The Edge of Glory". Seeing that "Judas" was going down the charts quicker than Li-Lo after a saturday night coke binge, GaGa rush-released TEoG as a 'Promo Single'. Within a day, the song had topped 22 out of 23 iTunes stores worldwide and the song itself received rave reviews from casual listeners, Fans, Stans & Critics alike. Within another day, the song had been officially confirmed as the official third single off the upcoming album.

The Song itself it a huge improvment on both previous singles. "Judas" sounded like "Bad Romance"s less attractive, more irratating twin sister and "Born This Way" - although i personally found it to be more than enjoyable - was NOT the Anthem of the Generation that GaGa has promised us all those months ago, nevermind that the song itself was plauged by those pesky "Express Yourself" comparrisons. Luckily, TEoG sounds like nothing in the chart at the moment and as of yet no 'ZOMG StEaLiN TrAnNiE bIoTcH!!!!' claims have been made. Seems Perfect ehh?
 Produced by Fernando Garibay and written by GaGa, TEoG proves that when GaGa drops the 'Pretension' and 'Gimmicks' surrounding her she is capable of writing a stellar pop song and a song that is much more Anthemic and than any of the other songs she claimed would 'set us free' in the months leading up to album. The Verses are well sung, the chorus automatically draws the listener in and overall the song is a much more enjoyable, easier listen than that of her previous two singles without screaming 'attention whore' or relying on the 'shock' factor that she frequently relies on to plug her material.
Overall, TEoG is what can be deemed 'Classic' GaGa and is exactly the type of single she should have released first. A stellar pop song unhindered by Gimmicks and effortlessly brilliant


Best Bit: The "I'm on The Edge, The Edge, The Edge..." section is one of the best hooks GaGa has written and her delivery is flawless.

Shit Bit: The Saxophone section during the instrumental break is too long.
