Hot Track Alert: DEV - 'In The Dark'

Since i listen to pretty much everything and anything i want to, as well as posting the 'Song of the Week' every Monday night (i will, wait and see...) i will be posting a 'Hot Track Alert' every so often when i decided that a song is my new Pu$$y Poppin' anthem (expect a new post once every few days) Yep. Now its time for the first official post.

Today's Pu$$y poppin' anthem is DEV's new single 'In The Dark', the follow up to her other hit 'Bass Down Low'. A catchy little dance song about the Horizontal Monster Mash, the song features a strangely effective saxophone section and a siren like verse. Overall? Its pretty epic. Ive got nothing else to say besides this is undoubtedly the song that will launch DEV into the big leagues. 'Bass Down Low' garnered attention to her and 'In the Dark' will hopefully bring her the success this aspiring singer deserves. I don't know if i prefer this to the ever epic 'Bass Down Low', but none the less, Its a pretty fantastic wee song and it will be on repeat for the next few days, even if i have known about it for a month or so now. Katy Perry dyes her hair... GINGER?!?!?!

Umm... wow... yep.... thats Katy Perry. According to the 'California Gurls' singer, she wanted to dye her hair bright piss yellow, but because of how black it was and has been for years she cant dye it that colour right off the bat and needs to have her hair this reddy colour for the next 3 weeks....

In my personal opinion, piss yellow hair will NOT suit her. She has a very 50's look to her face that yellow will not compliment very well. To quote Amy Winehouse, this bitch needs to go back to black ASAP.

Anyone else think she looks like a happier version of Rachel Evan Wood with that colour of hair?

Lady GaGa 's 'Judas' instrumental leaks

Another Lady Gaga instrumental has leaked, this time its the one off of her last single 'Judas'. The instrumental is rather interesting. Its much more intense and manic sounding than the actual single and sounds more like the demo, which had a more animalistic quality to.

The UK Music Scene

Well guys, its time for another rant from your host, Busty St.Clair... this time, I'm gonna be ranting about the current state of the charts in the UK and why i feel like gouging my eyes out and listening to a live Little Boots CD every time i go onto iTunes or look at the midweeks.

First of all, let me begin by saying a lot of this isn't about UK acts or music produced over here, but more about this mindless twats who actually buy the music and get each act to number 1 depending on what they pick and choose.

This morning i woke up to find that Jason DeRulo with one of the most annoying, painfully bad tracks i have EVER hear in my entire life is STILL on top of the UK iTunes charts while other more talented acts like Sophie Ellis-Bextor and the like languish at peak positions of #25 (single) and #33 (album) while shite acts like Tinie Tempah and N-Dubz ride high every single weak with a painfully shite track while artists that actually put out REAL music fade away upon release and are never heard of again...
I'm gonna now list a few things that I think are ruining the UK music scene as we know it...

1) ADELE
Right, let me get something straight. I think Adele is one of the most talented vocalists of our generation and her voice and talent should NOT be overlooked. But seriously? I'm fucking sick of hearing about her. Ever since the BRIT awards in early 2011 it seems like we will NEVER be rid of Adele nor her fucking chair she never seems to be out of. JUST BECAUSE HER MUSIC DOESN'T FEATURE A TECHNO BEAT DOESNT MAKE YOU ANY MORE DEEP THAN YOU ALREADY ARE! FACE THE FACTS HOE! YOUR STILL AS DEEP AS A FUCKING PADDLING POOL! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!

2) Under performing Superstars
In 2011, both Lady GaGa & Britney Spears (the biggest pop bitches in the game) released new music only to see it underperfom. (GaGa peaked at #3 with BTW, but the album sold more than estimated. Britney peaked at #6 and her album #9). im not campaining for better chart positions from these two, but when acts like LMFAO are number one for 3 weeks instead of Gaga ad BritBrit (who both released endlessly better material) it makes me wonder if everyone in the UK is more inept than the man who gave Brandy a drivers licence or gave Keri Hilson a recording contract. Don't even get me fucking started on Beyonces new material, that although better than ever is flopping harder than Xtina Aguilera singing the hits of the third Reich...

3) The Rise of Jessie J
Ive got nothing to say about you except...

Those are just 3 of the reasons that i feel are ruining the UK music scene? Like seriously? I'm fucking sick of ignorant chavs running this bitch. That's it. I'm seriously fucking done. If you don't like it then i suggest that you seriously go fuck yourself and learn to just...

Random Chick 'goes in' on fanbases (Monsters, Angels, Navy etc.)

This random chick (or the banned user MonsterBread if you have a GaGaDaily account) took it upon herself to spill the truest tea i have ever heard  in my entire life. No fucking joke.
For some unknown reason MonsterBread decided to go in on all fanbases and their seemingly mindless devotion towards their 'faves'.
Highlights include her covering the nickname 'Mother Monster', namechecking HausOfJay, discussing the fact that mindless devotion is a big no-no on the interwebz and claiming that Lil Kim actually has fans. Priceless.

What do y'all think? As a giant 'monster' myself, i whole heartidly agree tbqfh... I will NEVER call GaGa mother monster as i personally find it creepy. Its alright when she says it, but when some bitch on twitter says it moments after tweeting about her REAL mother? umm... no thanks... thats not to say i love Gags any less than any other devoted monster, but their ARE limits gawrls...

No words can discribe how much i fucking LOVE this video. Like, seriously. After months and months of letdowns and videos that were nothing more than lackluster Britney finally puts her money where her mouth is and releases a fantastic video.
Its fun, sexy (she looks good, ADMIT IT) and needless to say its VERY Britney. Not Britney in her peak, but the new, more fun Britney we all need to come to know and love. Its fucking flawless...

Im not even gonna say anything about this except that i thought things were going better for old Amy. Apparently i thought wrong... *sigh* ... Lets be honest. Jordy's song of the week

I have decided to do a 'Song of the week' and im going to start with the unknown but amazing song 'Out Of Control' By Oingo Boingo.

First, let me just say that Oingo Boingo are my favourite all-time band. I stan for them, big time. They are led by the immensely talented Danny Elfman (who is also Tim Burtons favorite composer and uses him in the majority of his films. He also wrote 'The Simpsons' theme tune) and are a very underrated 80's New Wave band.

'Out Of Control' comes from their sixth studio album 'Light and the End of the Tunnel' (one of their poorer albums in my opinion) and was released in 1990. The song takes on a much more serious tone than much of their earlier work such as Only A Lad and Nothing To Fear (But Fear Itself) and deals with teen suicide.

The story behind it is that many teenagers had written to Elfman asking him for help with their dark thoughts and this song was the reply to these pleas, with lyrics such as 'There's a black sun, casting black shadows and i know that you feel so alone. Your out of control and you want the world to love you.'

When i first heard it i felt genuinely uplifted by the end of it and it has moved itself firmly into my top 10 Oingo Boingo songs EVER ! I'm all for being cheery and depression is less fun than a weekend away with Chris Martin (who i would happily punch in the face until my hand fell off).

I get many accusations of stanning for a 'Basic Bitch' and a band who are a 'flop' ( YEAH AM LOOKIN AT YOU BUSTY !!!) But for the sheer enjoyment that comes from listening to their music i am willing to put up with such insults !

ALSO, they have a video with dancing midgets. Oingo Boingo - Little Girls :P Little Girls is NOT about being a pedophile. Its about young gold-diggers who go for rich older men.

Weird Al Yankovic releases GaGa parody 'Perform This Way'

After the controversy surrounding the singles release a couple of weeks ago*, Weird Al Yankovic has just released his video for his Lady GaGa parody, 'Perform This Way', and it goes without saying that is is absolutly fucking hilarious.

As a massive GaGa stan, i have got to admit, this is soooooo funny and one of the better parodies i have seen (although NOT better than Sherry Vines GaGa parodies). Usually most parodies are clich'ed and full of shit that isnt even remotly funny (i have a dick, my music is shit, im a theif etc...) but Weird Al has successfully managed to create a funny parody that wasnt all that insulting to Gags while managing to rip the piss out of her in a way we all do, just here done with a little more class than your usual run of the mill parody (heres looking at you Smosh).

*The controversy was that Al took to his blog to say GaGa had said NO to releasing the single after he went through a rigerous process to finish the song and play it  to her. Well, after the news his GaGas manager came out and said he didnt want it released as at the time 'Born This Way' was still riding high in the charts, seems GaGa hadnt even heard the single yet. Yep... thats it. Boring ehh?

Cee-Lo Green goes on a homophobic rant after 1 scathing review.

Well ladies, get ready for yet another shitstorm, as Cee-Lo Green has went on a lil hoophobic rant on twitter.
After attending a Rihanna concert, Music editor Andrea Svensson took it upon herself to say what the majority of people attending the Rihanna concert were thinking, that Cee-Lo Green trundled around onstage for 40 minutes, sung poorly and did nothing but wipe his head every two minutes, saying he was the shitest part of an otherwise enjoyable concert experience.
Upon hearing this news Cee-Lo took it upon himself to start slamming 'teh gaaays' in a twitter rant that dispite him deleting the tweets will NOT be soon forgotten.

I respect your criticism but be fair! People enjoyed last night! I’m guessing you’re gay? And my masculinity offended you? Well, fuck  you!’

Cee-Lo Green and masculinity ehh? Umm...

Somehow, i DON'T think its your 'masculinity' that was the major low-point of the reviewers evening, especially not when a lot of other concert goes agreed Heidi Montag would have been a more interesitng opening act. Also, have you checked google latley? 'Is Cee Lo Green gay' is like, in ,the top 5 results!. After hearing the news stans everywhere descended like vultures all screaming for pieces of Cee-Lo's wig (or lack thereof) the 'Crazy' singer took it upon himself to tweet the following 'apology'...


I most certainly am not harbouring any sort of negative feeling toward the gay community, I always expect people to assume that everything I do is part of my character and sense of humour.’

Doesnt seem like much of an apology to me, seems more like a direct 'hew gon check me boo?' towards every gay music lover everywhere. And considering the main deographic for his type of music is either gay guys or girls, i think its safe to say you shouldnt be biting the hand that feed ou Cee-lo, even if it DOES seem like you've had enough...
